Shining Star Adult Day Center caters to individuals 18 years of age to 60 with mild and moderate intellectual and developmental disabilities

What are the requirements?

Be ambulatory,   No aggressive behavior toward others and to self, Able to follow and participate group activities,   Be toilet trained, independently or on schedules with or without promptings.

What Are the Age requirements?

18 years of age to Age 60

IS Shining Star Mundane? Will my loved one be better off at home?

Absolutely Not? Shining Star looks forward to seeing our clients each day. A new day brings new things therefore we are excited about having new activity implemented.

What is Our Staff to client ratio?

Staff to client ration 1:3

How Accommodating is Shining Star Physical Facility?

Shining Star is a quint facility located in Sacramento County.  We strive to build connections with our consumers, therefore we opted for a smaller scale facility. This allows us to take on a modest number of consumers at a time. If the need for more consumers shall arise, we will accommodate by again using the same structure, yet at another location.

Is Shining Star Strictly a Facility -centered program?

No. Part of our program allows our consumers to interact * outside of our facilities by venturing out to stores, restaurants, and other amusements Shining Star Adult Activity Center (SSAAC) is very strict on the health and safety of our clients and employees. We will strongly adhere to government guidelines in regard to social distancing and its parameters.
